Ni en los 80′, ni en los 90′, ni en la d\u00e9cada pasada. El p\u00e1del es hoy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hace apenas unos d\u00edas termin\u00f3 un torneo en la costa de Florida que coron\u00f3 una vez m\u00e1s el due\u00f1o absoluto del deporte, Fernando Belastegu\u00edn<\/a>, que junto a Arturo Coello, el campe\u00f3n m\u00e1s joven, se hicieron con el primer torneo de la temporada 2022 de World Padel Tour<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Est\u00e1 comenzando en el sur del Argentina el circuito AJPP<\/a>, qu\u00e9 si bien no maneja los premios que entregan los circuitos internacionales, reparte en San Martin de Los Andes $1.000.000 en premios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otro lado cerr\u00f3 esta semana la inscripci\u00f3n al primer torneo de la temporada APT<\/a> que se disputar\u00e1 en Asunci\u00f3n. En su previa contar\u00e1 con torneos Juniors y Future, tanto el Open como los mencionados anteriormente ya tienen cuadro final con record de inscritos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando digo que el padel es hoy, es hoy. Adem\u00e1s de lo mencionado, WPT ya tiene el “main draw” de su segundo torneo. \u00c9ste se disputar\u00e1 en tierras catalanas y ser\u00e1 la ciudad de Reus la protagonista con marca en la cantidad de inscritos para un Open de World Padel Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por \u00faltimo y para cerrar, FIP<\/a> y el due\u00f1o del PSG tendr\u00e1n su estreno con los mejores del mundo en Doha. Ya que al d\u00eda de hoy la gran mayor\u00eda de las mejores parejas de WPT se han inscrito al torneo que se jugar\u00e1 en medio oriente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El padel<\/a> es hoy, porque en los ochenta era un juego que entend\u00edan muy pocos y no terminaba de cerrar. En los noventa tuvo su primer gran explosi\u00f3n aunque muy pocos pudieron realmente tomarlo como un deporte y vivir de el. Los grandes ganadores de esas \u00e9pocas abrieron clubes, hicieron acuerdos con sponsors que apostaron al deporte<\/a>, otros llegaron a las c\u00fapulas organizativas de las asociaciones o entes privados “due\u00f1os” de una parte del deporte, pero no fueron muchos los que perduraron. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el nuevo milenio, los jugadores y entrenadores debieron emigrar y asentarse en el viejo continente. Incluso para fines de la d\u00e9cada siguiente, casi en el 2020, a\u00fan era necesario cruzar el charco para intentar vivir de eso que aman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El padel es hoy. Porque el circuito argentino resurgi\u00f3, porque APT apost\u00f3 a lo mejor de am\u00e9rica y empez\u00f3 a atraer las miradas del resto. Porque World P\u00e1del Tour se ve acorralada por la asociaci\u00f3n de jugadores y la FIP y tendr\u00e1 que mejorar su oferta. Porque la Federaci\u00f3n Internacional de Padel hizo un acuerdo sin precedentes con el fondo de negocios Qatar\u00ed m\u00e1s famoso de todos y se han involucrado m\u00e1s que nunca luego de que el Mundial en noviembre les llenera los ojos de padel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El padel es hoy y somos privilegiados del momento en que nos toca vivir. Nosotros como medios de comunicaci\u00f3n aficionados al deporte, y a los que le toca como jugadores, organizadores y como empresarios ligados al padel. El p\u00e1del es hoy y hay que cuidarlo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
